Today I took a quick trip to BevMo! to pick up a couple of things that had caught my eye when I had gone for the grand opening ceremony in Moreno Valley. Basically it consisted of a bunch of ciders and a local craft brew wheat beer!

Without more ado, here is the loot:
From left to right:
Crispin' The Saint Hard Cider, Crispin' Original Hard Cider, Fox Barrel Pacific Pear Cider, and The Lost Abbey Witch's Wit

First up are the two twins:
Crispin' makes some badass ciders, which are all gluten free with varying degrees of price points and flavors. The Fox Barrel Pear ciders are also made by the same brand and meet the quality of the apple products as well.

Crispin' The Saint is an apple juice cider that is also brewed with Belgian beer yeast and sweetened with pure organic maple syrup. It comes in a larger bottle size only so be prepared to share unless you want to get your buzz on!

Crispin' Original is the regular no frills hard cider offered. It is crisp, not very beery and bubbly. It honestly blows the other normal apple hard ciders I've had out of the water. It can be bought in a four pack! It is so good that I am drinking one as I write this... 8/10 definitely.

Alright so lets get one thing straight... the apple ciders are good but... Fox Barrel Pear ciders are delicious!
The moment you open it you can smell the fresh pears, nothing artificial here, literally smells like yummy pears!
After I finished my Cripsin' Original I poured myself one of these babies and boy was I surprised!
Last time I went to the store I had picked up the Fox Barrel Blackberry Pear Cider, and both of them are great! I seriously would not know which one to pick when offered both.
The blackberry is a bit more tart and the pacific pear is more peary... is that even a word? Well it doesn't really matter, they both get a 10/10! Honestly my favorite ciders so far!
There is also an Apricot Pear Fox Barrel cider, but I haven't been able to find it yet!
I shall be on the look out for sure.

Now for the fun stuff... The Lost Abbey Witch's Wit. The Lost Abbey's slogan is "Inspired Beer for Sinners and Saints Alike" so I guess I fit! Their beers have really cool artwork and sweet names like Inferno Ale, Serpents Stout, and Judgement Day just to name a few.
Witch's Wit is part of the summer collection of beers and is basically a Belgian wheat ale. Something to note is that this beer and Crispin' The Saint probably use similar yeast for fermentation since they are Belgian. To stand out from the crowd they use Grapefruit Zest, Orange Peel, and Coriander as spices. I really enjoy wheat beers so hopefully this one delivers, it has pretty good reviews mostly saying it is a solid wheat ale.
Apart from the sweet artwork, the wired cork top is extremely unique and looks professional. Of course you pay a little premium for this brand but if the flavor matches the presentation, then it should all be worth it!
